Dining at Chez Louie

Lena would sometimes invite us for coffee & cake in the kitchen. Her plum kuchen was great, but Jim's favorite, at least according to Lena, was 'jelly bread'.

We also got invited to dinner occassionaly, sometimes followed by schnapps - to be downed in one gulp.

But most of the time we ate at the Cafe Cellar. Serving dishes and glasses would have just been more things to wash. At least we used forks. Most of the time.

And our table had a view of the kitchen!
